LLE Deputy Director, Chris Deeney, was recently given a tour of the OMEGA EP Laser and Target Bays. The in-depth tour revealed the quality of engineering and operations, rigorous maintenance that keeps the lasers in such good condition, and areas where the sustainment plan will make a difference. “This tour gave me a deep appreciation for the quality of engineering and operations in OMEGA EP and OMEGA 60,” said Deeney. “Moreover, you appreciate the effort the Laser and Target Bay operators go through every day to keep these amazing facilities delivering world-class science for the National Nuclear Security Administration.”
