Ultrafast Dense Plasma Physics
Philip Nilson is an experimental physicist who specializes in investigating dense plasma physics. His research focuses on flow visualization at ultrahigh pressures and dense-plasma spectroscopy. This includes developing novel experimental platforms and exploring future needs. These systems-integrated activities are driven by applications in fundamental scientific research, laboratory astrophysics, and studies on inertial confinement fusion. Philip earned his Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Imperial College, London (2006).
