LLE’s Machine Shop manager Richard Fellows displays a row of eight individual parts, each of which will be used in the next-generation planar cryo target. Once assembled, these new targets will be used to optimize use of the OMEGA high-resolution velocimeter system. Many intricate designs are designed and assembled in-house to support the Omega Laser Facility.
