Optical Manufacturing (OMAN) Technician, Desiree Morgan, has joined the effort to make masks for those in need. Desiree’s passion besides working at LLE and her family is embroidery and sewing. In this time of shortages, she is working tirelessly to make masks and help stop the spread. Shown are a few of the over 300 masks that she has donated to the community. Below, Desiree is shown last month at her role at LLE inspecting a large mirror after the part was unloaded from the coating chamber shown in the background. OMAN’s expertise is the manufacture of thin-film components for high-peak-power laser systems (Omega, NIF, CEA) and post-process inspections are an important part of our quality control procedures.
