Quick Shot

U.S. Department of Energy Officials, Scott Hsu, Senior Advisor and Lead Fusion Coordinator, Office of the Under Secretary for Science & Innovation and Sarah Nelson, Acting Office Director, Office of Experimental Sciences, National Nuclear Security Administration visited LLE on the 3rd of February. They met with the Director, Chris Deeney, as well as, division directors, scientists, and students during their visit. Dr. Hsu gave an update on the DOE’s Decadal Vision for Fusion Energy as a solution to global warming. Dr. Nelson highlighted NNSA’s programmatic advancements and thanked the LLE Team for their contributions to making ignition happen.
