Quick Shot

The Department of Energy Office of Science recently featured a new report from the Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee (FESAC) providing a decade-long vision for the field of fusion energy and plasma science. This work is presented on their webpage and uses an illustration originally created by LLE  for A Community Plan for Fusion Energy and Discovery Plasma Sciences report. Department of Energy funding of fusion energy and plasma science research have led to huge advances in the field, which include significant contributions by the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. Such funding is critically important for the growth and vitality of the Laboratory.
