Chuang Ren
Professor
Professor Chuang Ren graduated from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) with his B.S. and M.S. degrees in 1993 and received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1998. He worked as a postdoc and a research scientist at UCLA before moving to the University of Rochester in 2004. Currently he holds positions as a Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering and as a Scientist at LLE. His research interests include high-energy-density physics (HEDP), plasma astrophysics, and high-performance computing.
