Dr. Liu is a Computational Scientist at the University of Rochester. He received his B.S. in material science from Nanjing University and M.S. and Ph.D in computational physics from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Liu serves as a consultant on computational research project design and implementation and provides technical support for multiple research groups at the University of Rochester campus. Currently Dr. Liu works with the Plasma Theory Group in developing and optimizing LPSE (laser-plasma simulation environment) for high-performance computing architectures.
