Rick Spielman Nominated for Seat on the Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society

Senior Scientist, Rick Spielman, has been nominated by election in the Pulse Power Science and Technology (PPS&T) Technical Committee to run for the open 2022 Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) seat on the Administrative Committee (AdCom). The election will take place in 2021 and the AdCom position starts January 1, 2022. The NPSS is part of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is composed of 40 different societies as part of IEEE. The AdCom facilitates all of the activities of the society, and today NPSS has between 2500 and 3000 members. There are 5 officers, 8 editors, 12 functional committee chairs, 8 technical committee chairs, 15 elected members, and 14 liaisons. It meets three times each year to conduct business.
