On October 12th U.S. Department of Energy Officials Steve Binkley, NNSA’s Defense Programs, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Leader; Samantha Calkins, ICF Program Manager, NNSA; Paul Davis, Deputy Director, Office of Experimental Science, NNSA; Kevin Jackman, Diagnostic Program Manager and LLE Point of Contact, NNSA; and Mark Suriano, Binkley’s Deputy, visited LLE. During their visit they met with Director Chris Deeney as well as division directors, scientists, and students. They also attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for LLE’s new supercomputer, Conesus, which was recently named one of the world’s most powerful computers.
