John Marozas

Senior Scientist

Patent 1989:
“Voltage Controlled Oscillator with Correction of Tuning Curve Non-linearities”

Industrial Experience, IBM:
Summers 1985-1986, 1990 (Research Assistant; T.J. Watson Research Center)
Owego 1987-1989 (Associate Engineer)
Burlington 1989-1994 (Associate Engineer; During educational leave for Ph.D.)

Research at LLE:
Developed at physical/Fourier optics design code, Zhizhoo’, used to generate phase profiles that produce well defined, arbitrary far-field speckled intensity patterns. Developed an advanced low-noise ray-tracing scheme for 2-D radiation–hydrodynamics code, DRACO. Developed polar direct drive (PDD) target designs for the National Ignition Facility (NIF). Developed a wavelength detuning platform for mitigation of the crossed-beam energy transfer (CBET) on the NIF, which can be transferred to the Omega Laser Facility.
