Mechanical Engineering Department

Yanhao Ding is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester. He received his Master's degree from Harbin Institute of Technology. Yanhao joined the HEDP group at LLE in 2016 and work with Dr. Hu on computer simulations to understand material properties at extreme conditions. His research interests include High Energy Density Physics (HEDP), Plasma Physics and First-Principles calculations for Warm Dense Matter (WDM). Currently, he is working on developing the time-dependent density-functional theory (TD-DFT) code for investigating the transport and optical properties of HED plasmas.
