John M. Schoen

As Director of the Administrative Division, John Schoen is responsible for providing overall building and administrative support to the Laboratory for human resources, contractual management, finance and accounting, procurement, and facilities.

Mr. Schoen joined LLE in 2001 as the Associate Director and Engineering Manager of the Center for Optics Manufacturing (COM). In July 2005 he was appointed the Director of the LLE's Administrative Division.

Before joining the Laboratory, Schoen's career included 22 years at Eastman Kodak Company in the Optics and Equipment Divisions with assignments in development, product engineering, project management, and operations management. He also worked for Optical Coating Laboratory, Inc. (OCLI) as the engineering and product manager for it's Rochester, New York precision polymer optics facility.

Mr. Schoen received a BS in Chemistry from St. John Fisher College in 1977.
